Cas Albert Miller, 31, was arrested after the shooting at Amity Heights on Pamphylia Avenue on the morning of Saturday, Aug. 10, the Bridgeton Police Department said in a news release. He reportedly lives at the apartment complex.

When officers arrived, they found the victims, 45 and 31 years old, with gunshot wounds. One man was rushed to Cooper University Hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition, while the other man was treated at the scene and released.

Miller was taken into custody after police stopped his vehicle about a few hours after the shooting and a gun was found in the vehicle.

"All around good police work from the officers who responded initially to the detectives who conducted the investigation identified the suspect and apprehended him," police Chief Michael Gaimari Sr. said in a statement.

Miller was charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault with a weapon, and several weapons offenses. He was held at the Cumberland County Jail without bail.
